Plymouth and Kinsale abandoned

Interesting how the Proclastic flow material is now being eroded by rivers and streams (as well as being quarried for building material)

The island of Montserrat suffered a devastating volcanic eruption with lava flows and Pyroclastic flows - in a similar way to that which buried Pompeii and Herculaneum -- thankfully with fewer fatalities. It is a "British Overseas Territory" hence the recognisable old "Post Office" telephone box. It is now safe to visit and tourism income is vital to rebuild http://www.visitmontserrat.com/

Plymouth and Kinsale are on the western approaches to Britan and Ireland (from the Caribbean), respectively.
